Endless Landscape - Seaside
endlesslandseaside

This is a brilliant tool for communication exercises: Can one participant, or a team successfully communicate the order in which cards should be placed to another participant or team?

Myriorama is a picture whose parts can be arranged in an almost infinite number of combinations to portray different scenes. Ours is based on one originating in Leipzig in the 1830s.

There are twenty-four sturdy cards each showing part of a panoramic view. In whichever order they are placed, the result is a harmonious and continuous landscape.

If you are purchasing the Endless Landscape cards to use in the Trainers' Library module Chinese Picture Race you require two packs of the same design for every team of 4-8 participants.

(Our training props are carefully selected for use by professional trainers, and are not suitable for children under 3).

Useful in problem solving tasks, this product shows that there are many ways to solve a problem and conveys to delegates the possibilities which are open to them. I’ll be looking to purchase the village setting soon to add to the collection.

Love these cards - they can be used in so many different ways and are always popular with delegates. One word of advice, if you are training in places like the Middle East you would be better ordering the Village version of this products as some delegates may be uncomfortable with some of the images in this version.

Fantastic activity. I bought 2 copies and used it at the end of a course on Project Management. I split the group into 2 teams of 3. Asked them to assign a PM then treat building the landscape as a project with me as the customer. It worked really well and I had 2 great but different solutions! The only negative is that it's smaller than I expected (each card is about 1x2 inches).

Perfect icebreaker, sometimes we all have the same tools and the same message but somehow manage to come up with a slightly different picture, I had used this in a example for remote management, i.e. if you are not clear on communication you might not all get a consistent result!

I absolutely love this activity; it truly shows delegates that there are multitudes of possibilities available to them in terms of problem solving and in many cases, all of which are viable. It is all a matter of putting the cards in order first and having a look to see if it flows or if there are gaps. We will be using this activity in a number of our courses.

We used these as part of a Chinese whisper exercise to test their listening and questioning skills. As you can make so many different pictures up they can be used over and over again. I have the seaside and another one so they can be used over and over.

I purchased this product for an icebreaker around breaking down information, for a coaching course.  I followed the suggested icebreaker ‘Chinese Picture Race’ from Trainers Library. It really got the point across and they had fun trying to complete the task. I purchased both the seaside & the village landscape cards, I highly recommend the seaside landscape, I found the village pictures too detailed and similar.

An amazingly versatile product that has dozens of uses with groups of participants. As this is pocket sized I have added it to my trainers toolkit to use whenever there is a need for a quick icebreaker or energiser!
