Presentations are becoming increasingly common within the business environment.
Presentations allow us to:
-
Persuade and convince the audience to use our products or services
-
Persuade and convince someone to provide us with funding or extra resources
-
Offer solutions to problems
-
Deliver and inform of news or changes to a target audience
Presentations can also enhance the reputation of an organisation, department or self.
Most people 'fear' having to give a presentation. Reasons can include 'drying up', forgetting our lines, and 'making a fool of myself'.
With practice, and a few tested pointers, we can become proficient at presenting and public speaking.
The objective is to give you the techniques, methods and tools that will allow you to produce and carry out a presentation in a clear logical, concise, informed and stimulating manner using your own personal style.
