For the Seller:
1) What can I sell?
You can sell any training related products through Trainers’ Market. These can be products that are downloaded from Trainers’ Market on purchase, or products that need to be physically dispatched to the customer.
2) How can I sell?
Simply provide us with details of the product you’d like to sell, and we’ll tell you whether it’s a contender for inclusion in Trainers’ Market. Assuming it is, we’ll send you a contract so that you can become a registered seller (assuming you’ve not previously signed a seller’s contract). We’ll then liaise with you to make sure that you are happy with the way your product is described and presented in Trainers’ Market.
In the case of downloadable products you’ll need to provide us with the files to send to customers who purchase your products, and we’ll normally ask you for a small extract that can be included with your product description as a downloadable sample. This can be an effective marketing tool.
If your product is physical, (for example, a book), we’ll normally ask you to provide us with a small stock so that we can deliver products quickly to customers.
3) What countries can I sell to?
At the moment, we can only dispatch goods to UK addresses, though we’ll look to add other countries as we grow. Downloads can be purchased by customers in any country in the world.
4) How does the customer pay, and how do I get my money?
Customers can pay online, or place their orders by telephone with a valid credit or debit card.
5) What will it cost me?
You only pay us commission on the products we actually sell. You do not pay for any marketing we carry out on you behalf.
6) How will my products be delivered?
On receipt of payment we’ll make downloadable products immediately available to the purchasing customer. The customer will gain access to the products they’ve purchased by logging in to a secure area in Trainers’ Market.
We will dispatch physical goods to customers by post/courier.
7) If my product is for download, how do I get it onto Trainers’ Market?
You will need to provide us with the files for download by purchasing customers. Our IT team can help you identify the best format for your products and can work with you to help you format your products for easy download.
8) Can I get advice on what to charge for my products?
We prefer the seller to identify the price they want to charge for their products, but we will let you know if we think the price you quote is unreasonable. We can also help you identify comparable products on the market, which might help you decide how much to charge for your products.
9) What about postage charges?
If your product is physical we expect you to dispatch these to us free of charge.
We charge £4.50 for delivery of physical products to customers:
You will not receive commission on any delivery element of the sale. Equally, if we offer free delivery, this will be funded from our commission; you will still receive 65% off the agreed full price.
10) What are my responsibilities if a customer wants to return a product?
We will release funds to your account seven days after a customer has purchased a product. If a customer changes their mind about a purchase within seven days of purchase and lets us know, we’ll refund them in full and you will not receive commission on that sale. For more information about our returns policy, please look at the buyers section below.
11) How do I find out what I have sold and what payments I am due?
At the end of each quarter, we’ll send you a report detailing the sales of your products and the commission due to you. We’ll ask you to invoice for the amount of commission shown on that report, and undertake to pay your invoice within 31 days of receipt.
If you’d like a report before the end of the quarter, these can be produced on request. In due course, we hope to make real-time reports available online to our sellers.
12) How do I withdraw products I no longer wish to sell?
We ask that you leave your products on Trainers’ Market for a minimum period of twelve months. After the twelve months are up, you can remove any products at any time by giving us three months notice in writing.
For the Buyer:
1) How can I pay for products?
You can pay for products using a valid credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro and American Express. You can place your order online, or by telephoning us on 01434 381122.
2) What is your returns policy?
If you change your mind about a purchase within seven days of receipt and let us know, we will refund you in full. In the event of such a claim, you must undertake that you have not, and will not use the purchased goods.
In the case of downloads, you will be asked to undertake to destroy all copies of the goods purchased.
Where goods have been dispatched to you, you will be refunded when we receive the goods back from you in pristine condition.
3) How will I receive my purchases?
Some products are sold as downloads: You will be given instant access to these on receipt of payment via a secure area of Trainers’ Market.
Physical products (for example books), will be dispatched using Royal Mail or another delivery company of our choosing. We will let you know if we are unable to dispatch goods within 48 hours of receiving your order.
4) If my purchase is for download products, how do I get them?
Once your transaction has been completed successfully you will receive an e-mail with a link to your download product.
Your purchase will also be available to download from your account area in Trainers' Market.
